The Society was created to advocate for the preservation of our property and usage rights for the lakes, foreshore and uplands. We are focused on creating an alliance with organizations, Businesses, Stratas, and private property owners to seek a voice in Governance and Indigenous led processes with Government that will endanger our use of the lakes and land.

CWVPOS was formed in 2026 to rebut the ʔakisq̓nuk First Nations’ proposed lake and foreshore development moratorium, and their push for an indigenous-led lake stewardship plan. We are advocating for government transparency, fair permitting with reasonable timing, and continued responsible use of the lakes. We oppose wake-boat bans, dock removals, and unilateral restrictions on dredging, marinas, or shoreline work.
