Our mission is to protect property rights, lake access, and beachfront privileges in the Columbia and Windermere Valley

Welcome to Columbia and Windermere Valley Property Owners Society (CWVPOS)

The Society was created to advocate for the preservation of our property and usage rights for the lakes and foreshore. We are focused on creating an alliance with organizations, Strata, and individual households to seek a voice in Government and Indigenous led processes that will endanger our use of the lakes and land.

Get Involved

Protect your property rights, lakeshore access, and the future of Lake Windermere and Columbia Lake.

The Columbia and Windermere Valley Property Owners’ Society (CWVPOS) was formed in 2026 to push back against the ʔakisq̓nuk First Nations’ proposed development moratorium and their push for an indigenous-led lake stewardship plan. We are fighting for government transparency, fair permitting, and continued responsible use of the lakes — no wake-boat bans, no dock removals, and no unilateral restrictions on dredging, marinas, or shoreline work.
